Acne Removal - The Reality About Acne Removal

Acne Removal - The Reality About Acne Removal

It is a fact that everyone wants to have flawless skin. We all want to have skin like a celebrity. Radiant, glowing skin is one of the facets of their popularity. A flawless, glowing complexion would mean an acne clear complexion. That's why once you experience an acne flare-up or even a small zit you would get quick to get it treated.

Is it true that acne can be removed completely after it has flared-up? There is a wide range of cosmetics and skin care products that claim to do so. These products promise the best for you. They assure effective acne removal as long as you follow the correct dosage. But in reality, these medications do not give the results they promise.

What they do is they help prevent further breakouts. They provide the necessary nourishment for your skin that can help in strengthening the skin. They also heal the scars left by acne and help in restoring overall complexion.

Some products contain antibiotics that work by killing bacteria and reducing inflammation. But antibiotics don't actually remove the acne. These medications make our antibodies stronger to fight any likely infections caused by acne. But beware of overusing antibiotic products as the acne-causing bacteria may become resistant to a particular antibiotic. Bacterial resistance would render the acne treatment ineffective as the antibiotic may no longer be able to fight the bacteria.

Laser resurfacing is the newest type of treatment available in the market. The therapy involves the application of intense light to burn the acne. But this is advisable only for non-inflammatory or mildly inflammatory types of acne such as blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. Presently this is the only treatment that is very close to ideal acne removal because the burning actually removes acne.

Some people are concerned about the after scars it might leave because of all the burning. Such people are unaware of the post-burning therapy included in this treatment. The post-burning therapy stimulates the growth of an insoluble fibrous protein called collagen which is responsible for skin rejuvenation. So it actually improves skin texture and lessens the appearance of scars. But this treatment is not affordable by everyone.

There are too many acne fighting products on the market to count, but very few of them can actually remove the acne. Acne can't really be cured, it can only be controlled. With the right methods, you too can control your acne effectively.
